Amelia + Mike | Married | Columbus, OH

Amelia and Mike are one of those couples — He was in the military, so their original ceremony had to be short and sweet before his deployment. Once he came home, safe and sound, they set about to planning their wedding.  And what a wedding it was! Amelia’s sister made her wedding gown. Some minor alterations had to be done at the last minute … as in, Amelia was literally sewed into her dress!

At the ceremony, there was such a sense of peace and “rightness” about this wedding. You can see the look on the priest’s face (and the best man’s, and the maid of honor’s), “It’s about time we made this marriage officially official!”

They exited the church in a shower of bubbles …

… and directed the bridal party to change into their reception footwear!

Their June wedding day was a little drizzly, but Amelia and Mike were so laid back about the whole thing.

Congrats, lovebirds! Thanks for letting me celebrate with you.

I took some pics of Amelia and Mike with Mike’s family a few months before, and it was great to reunite with them at the wedding!
