So … I have a confession to make. Jen and Brent just might my favorite couple ever.

Partly ’cause they’re adorable. And they stood outside in the freezing cold without coats for our engagement shoot at her family’s farm in Urbana. (I’m not going to object to them cuddling for warmth!)

Partly because this was the look they gave each other when I asked them to tell me how they met — which was through work, by the way. Brent had to ask her out several times before she agreed to go with him to a hockey game.

After the game, they met up with Jen’s friends — ALL OF THEM. It was a test, but Brent passed with flying colors.

I also love them because they don’t hesitate when I command them to kiss …. aaaaaand, hoooold iiiiit …

They are hott stuff.

Brent had a perfect proposal — at home, surrounded by rose petals and lit candles, with a ring at the ready.

They got up at an ungodly early hour to meet with me, and for that, I’ll be eternally grateful. Because the light was just. so. perfect.

But mostly, they’re my faves because they’re my first solo wedding booking! Hurrah!

Jen and Brent, thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me peek into your world. And for being brave in love and in life.

You rock. I can’t wait to shoot your wedding!
